Who We Are
S.T.E.P. was founded by three high school dancers from Fort Lauderdale, FL, who know firsthand what dance can do. It gave us confidence when we doubted ourselves, discipline when we needed focus, a place to express what words could not hold, and a community that felt like home.
We believe every child deserves access to that same safe, joyful space regardless of income, background, or experience. S.T.E.P. is our way of giving back and paying forward what dance has given us. We are not waiting to grow up to make a difference. We are starting now.
Our Mission
Dance is more than movement. It builds whole people. S.T.E.P. closes the gap between talent and access, one free class at a time.
Every child is capable of something extraordinary. Dance helps them find and trust that belief in themselves.
Moving our bodies is essential to wellbeing. S.T.E.P. makes joyful, active play available to kids who need it most.
Dance is a language. We give children the vocabulary to tell their stories and share who they are.
Kids carry more than we realize. Dance is a proven outlet, a place to breathe, shake it off, and feel lighter.
Everyone wants a place where they fit. S.T.E.P. creates a genuine community, supportive, kind, and open to all.
Dance education should not be a privilege. We exist to make sure talent and access meet for every kid.
The People Behind S.T.E.P.
Three high school dancers who believe in the power of movement and the responsibility to share it.
Executive Director
Isabella leads S.T.E.P.'s vision and strategy, keeping the initiative moving forward with heart and purpose. Dance has been her anchor and she is determined to make that anchor available to every child.
Program Director
Grace designs and runs the S.T.E.P. class curriculum. She brings structure, creativity, and warmth to every session, making sure each student feels seen, challenged, and celebrated.
Outreach Director
Natalia connects S.T.E.P. with the communities that need it most. She leads partnerships, outreach, and ensures no child misses out simply because they did not hear about us.
How It Works
S.T.E.P. runs free weekly dance sessions every Friday as part of the after-school program at Love Our Nation in Dania Beach, FL. Classes welcome every experience level, from first-timers to more experienced movers.
Our students work toward special showcase performances at the middle and end of the school year, sharing what they have learned with family and the community.

We ease in with movement and music, loosening up and opening up energy.

Events
Our S.T.E.P. students will perform the showcase routine they have been building every Friday. Come watch these amazing kids shine!
Our first fundraiser was a huge success! The team baked and sold cookies, cupcakes, brownies, muffins, rice krispies, and more, all to support dance supplies for the children we serve.

S.T.E.P. is currently a youth-led community initiative and is not yet a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable donations at this time.

Our long-term goal is to officially register as a 501(c)(3), unlocking grants, tax-deductible donations, and greater community impact.
Partner with more local schools, studios, and businesses to expand our reach and resources.
Expand to a summer intensive giving kids a creative, active experience during the school break.
Deliver unforgettable student performances at the middle and end of each school year.
Reach more children across Fort Lauderdale and Dania Beach with consistent weekly programming.
